Pitta Bread Crisps

  • 6 pieces of pitta bread
  • olive oil for brushing
  • salt
  • 1 tbs thyme leaves or other chopped herbs (fresh or dried)
  • Method

    Pre-heat the oven to 170C or Gas 4.

    Divide each pitta bread into two flat halves and brush the inside rougher edge with a little oil. Sprinkle with salt and the chopped herbs.

    Cut each piece into strips or triangles.

    Place the pitta bread on a baking sheet and cook in the oven for 5/10 minutes or until golden brown.

    Cool on a wire rack and store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
